Prometheus froze when Hades abruptly leapt to his feet and stumbled over to him, only just managing to squelch the instinct to flinch when unfamiliar yet familiar hands touched his snout. He hadn't been touched in... in... he couldn't remember. Ever, probably. Not since he was a dragonet, fleeing from Nidhogg's crazy horde before he got caught up in the madness of it. Since then, the only physical contact he had had been aggressive claws and fangs, and piercing lances striking into his hide.
...
Hades's hands were warm. He exhaled heavily, letting his head droop slightly, resting more into Hades's palms.
"If you're Hades, then I'm Prometheus," he said quietly, finding some awful, dragging weight slowly lift from his heart when he realised he wasn't alone. He didn't understand how Hades took so long to find him, but he'll get sulky about that later, once he's sure this isn't some vivid dream his lonely brain was cooking up.
"I dunno how long I've been here, though," he admitted, "Um, I came here when the dragons and humans started fighting each other, because I didn't want to get involved. Then I just slept, because I was alone and no one answered me when I called."
